From time to time there is controversy about the alleged political significance in Alice in Wonderland. A prize of I'S, which may be divided, is offered for a letter to the Press (in not more than 200 words) protesting against the political implications of one of the following : Peter Pan, Little Lord Fauntleroy, The Treasure Seekers, The Wizard of Oz, Little Women or The Adventures of Rupert the Chick.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, London, W.C.1, in envelopes marked " Competition," and must be received not later than September 29th. Results will be published in the Spectator of October 6th.
