in the coming development of salesmanship. There are right and wrong methods. In America salesmanship has become inseparably allied with a far-reaching and often reckless granting of credit. Bright young men- by hypnotic spells persuade people to buy what they do not really want and what may not be really sound or enduring. The trade of a country cannot be built up usefully in this way except, of course, under conditions of. great temporary prosperity in the areas of sale.
