A ROYAL PROTEST
SIR,—Does not the infallible Mr. Janus slip up when he acquiesces in the dictum of the smart man of the Post Office that the British Parlia- ment met at Oxford either before or after Charles I? I say the British Parliament never met at Oxford. There was no British Parliament, or pedantically no Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, until the Union with Scotland. Is not thai so, Mr. Janus?—Yours with
Land of Shadows, Cork, Ireland.
