readers (Letters, 16 June) that the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children can be contacted at my address (like ALRA, it has no office).

purely the one-guinea subscription is not the 'only connection' between ALRA and the Univer- sity Humanist Federation? I was informed by a &ember of the Federation that it had supplied many of the hecklers at an SPUC meeting in Iinuary, bringing them for the purpose by coach.

I did not in my letter intend to minimise the wonderful hard work and energy of ALRA mem- bers. They are 'quite dedicated, and even believe their own propaganda, I think. I merely wished to point out that in their strange cause they arc not without help from some strange allies.
