In the series of "South Kensington Catalogues," we have A

Catalogue of the Printed Books Bequeathed by John Forster, LL.D. (Eyre and Spottiswoode.)—Mr. Forster died in 1876, at the age of sixty-four, and bequeathed his library, together with a collection of autographs, paintings, &c., to the nation, the bequest taking effect at once and in its entirety, thanks to the generosity of the widow. Mr. Elwin prefixes a short biography, and the cata- logue itself is executed in a way that is worthy of the munificence of the gift.
