SIR,----The Mediaeval Academy of America has just been incorporated, with the purpose of conducting and encouraging research and instruction in all departments of the arts, letters and life of the Middle Ages. The president is Professor E. K. Rand, of Harvard ; the vice-presidents, Professors Menly (Chicago), Haskins (Harvard) and Willard (Colorado) ; the treasurer, Mr. John Nicholas Brown ; and the clerk, Dr. Ralph Adams Cram. It maintains a quarterly journal, Speculum.
