What has made the Sunday Times go all genteel ?

On its fron page last Sunday were advertised articles (to be found within) b: " Mr." Walter de la Mare, "Mr." Cyril Conniolly, " Mr." Clifford Bax, " Mr." D. R. Gent, and so on. Perhaps, of course, all then distinguished writers insist on being " Mr." Perhaps they would really prefer to be " Esq." But it strikes the eye, or at any rate did
