Some Lectures by Sir George Paget. With a Memoir by

Charles E. Paget. (Macmillan and Bowes, Carobridge.)—Sir George Paget spent much of his time and power in teaching and adminis- trative work, and carried on at the same time a large professional practice. He was Physician to Addenbrooke's Hospital for forty- five years, Science Lecturer in Medicine at St. John's College for twenty-one years, and Regius Professor of Medicine for twenty years. So busy a life left him little leisure for writing. The three lectures here published deal with the" 2Etiology of Typhoid Fever" and "Alcohol as a COMBO of Disease," the latter being illustrated with a number of remarkable instances from his own practice.
