LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
THE ENDOWED SCHOOLS' COMMISSIONERS. A CORRECTION.
[TO TRIO EDITOR OF TRB "BPROTATOR."3
'SIR,—In the letter which you did me the honour to insert in the
last issue of the Spectator the following sentence occurs :—" We remember also that one of the Commissioners has a -seat at both
Boards." I need hardly say that I referred to Lord Lyttelton, and that I was under the impression that he was one of the Public Schools' Commissioners, as well as one of the Endowed Schools' Commissioners.
I find that I was mistaken, and I exceedingly regret that I did
his lordship the injustice of associating him with the Harrow School Scheme, or with the Commission that framed it.—I am,
Sir, &c., JOUN JENNY-sr BnowN. Birmingham, November 20, 1871.
