We may mention, for the benefit of such of our
readers as the subject may concern, The Legal Handbook of British South Africa, by W. H. Somerset Bell and Manfred Nathan, LL.D. (African Book Company, Grahamstown, Cape Colony). It will be remem- bered that the Common Law of British South Africa is the Roman-Dutch. But, of course, in practice( the Statute Law of the different Colonies has a wide operation.
