A CORRECTION.
ITO THE EDITOR OP Till "SPECTATOR."' Sra,—In the Spectator of December 19th, p. 1,070, I read : "No man, as Dr•. Johnson said, was ever written down except by himself." Now this was not one of the logic of Dr. John- son, but owes its origin, like many other wise and weighty sayings, to the great Cambridge scholar, Richard Bentley.—
