(The Egoist Press. 3s. 6d.)—M. Cocteau is one of the most advanced of the young Frenchmen, and this book was very favourably received by his admirers in Paris when it came out. It is interesting to read it in a translation which is in parts clearer than the original. While pretending to deal with modern music, It is a collection of aphorisms on art and life generally, usually at the expense of the public.
