THE VOTE FOR YOUNG WOMEN [To the Editor of the

SPECTATOR.] SIR,—It is obvious that there are serious differences of opinion on the woman's vote in both the Conservative and Liberal Parties. Would it not therefore be advisable for the Govern- ment to pass a short Act providing for a referendum to be taken under similar conditions to those of a General Election ?—I am, Sir, &c., H. W. COLLINS. 12 Prince's Avenue, Muswell Hill, N. 10.

[We have always advocated the appeal to the people by means of a referendum.—En. Spectator.]
