The Oxford English Dictionary. Edited by Sir James Murray. Vol.
VIII. " See--Sonatory." By Henry Bradley. (The Clarendon Press, 2s 6d.)—It is scarcely necessary to say anything about the execution of this great work, but its progress, as it nears completion, becomes increasingly interesting. Vols. i.-viii. are now finished, including all the letters of tho alphabet up and a portion of this letter. Vol. ix. is in progress. The portion of S between " Benatory " and "Si" is to be filled in, and that between "Sloop" and the end of tho letter. It contains also a portion of "T," which will be completed, together with the follow- ing letters, in voL x.
