It is inevitable now -that the election speeches will turn
largely upon -the attitude of the United States to Europe. This again means that there will be much earivaseing-of the relations of Great Britain and America, In brief, we are afraid that the anti-British elements in America—the Irish, the Germans, and the -rest—will try to work up an anti-British campaign. Let us be prepared for this. Both coinnioneetise and the essentieneeeetity of an under- standing throughout- the English-speaking world will in the-end overcome the danger as they have-Overcome it-before.
