The Masted Grange. By Katharine Tynan. (Collins. 7s, 6d. net.)-That
Mrs. Tynan should embark upon a thrilling story combining crime with the supernatural will be astonish ing to those many readers who look on her books as a safe and soothing refuge from the troubles of everyday life. But she " roars you as gently as a sucking dove," and the thrills are not so very terrific. Best of all she provides her u mal happy ending, so that the reader turns the last page with a feeling that all is really well in a troublesome world.
