Sir: As a lapsed Catholic, I've always found it difficult to explain my wish for my children to be brought up as Catholics. Andrew Kenny's article succinctly outlined the rationale which I had been unable to articulate. I accept Jesus as a moral leader

but I do not 'believe', yet I admire the majesty of the Church and the greatness of the culture it sustains.
