We are glad to find that the Reformers of the
Tower Hamlets are determined to support their late Representative, Dr. Litshington. It will be further necessary to keep in mind, that if the Tories have not hitherto been able to effect a lodgment in that borough, it has been principally from the fact that no divisions have existed amongst the general body of the Liberal voters, and that to insure the success of their candidate the same spirit must still pervade them. The Tories are silently at work, in the hope of being able to play in the East of the Metropolis the same game which has neutralized the extensive and extensive and wealthy borough of Nlarylebone.—Globe.
