MR. THOMPSON has been American correspondent of the Daily Express for six years, and this is a selection of his impressions. He is at his best when dealing with the more trivial themes. The intricacies of Cuban politics evade his powers of exposition, but the more domestic aspects of American life are pleasantly enough handled. An inoffensive, unnecessary book.
