religious character, Gotthelf 's excellent tale of "Kate the Grandmother" is continued, and there is an interesting notice of the late Joseph Sturge, written, however, with that entire absence of a sense of humour which distinguishes the religious world. Mr. Stinge, we are told, when a boy at school was a consistent Quaker, and never would fight, but once or twice he did, to avoid boxing, close with his antagonistand throw him on the ground.
