to an entry concerning myself in Your gossip column Bookend of September 30. So that I shall not seem to approve its statements by default, I should like to correct the record in two particulars. I have read all the biographies in the series Kings & Queens of which I have the honour to be General Editor. The author of the column, While accusing me of mis-spelling an author's name (unspecified) has himself mis-spelt the name of Keith Middlemas.
