The upward movement in the value of Consols and Railway
Shares continued until Thursday evening, but yesterday much less firmness was apparent, and Consols declined about + per cent., whilst a fall of 11. to 2/. per share took place in the value of Rail- way Shares. Consols during the week have sold as high as 90i, closing yesterday at 90i to both for money and account. The supply of bullion held by the Bank of England is 19,247,8591.; by the Bank of France, 28,639,604/.
