THE IRISH LAND BILL.
[To THE EDITOR OP THE "SPECTATOR."] SIR, In the Spectator of November 22nd, where the promised Irish Land Bill is mentioned, I read the statement that the Irish landlords ask "impossible prices " for the sale of their land! May I ask, Sir, what price would be considered a possible one by an unbiassed British public The Irish land- lords have through English legislation lost nearly 40 per cent. of their incomes during the last twenty years, and they can hardly be considered unreasonable if they stand out against
any further reduction.—I am, Sir, &c., ARRAN. Castle Gore, Ballina, Co. Mayo.
