The evils which the motor revolution has inflicted on the
more lovely parts of Britain are concisely emphasized. First, land development without a concerted plan. Second, the use of building materials unsuited to the locality. Third, the misuse of advertising features. The essential hope lies in the fact that every district councillor should realize that, for the future, all such disfigurements can be prevented by the use of Powers given in the very drastic Town Planning Act.
