[TO THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."]
SIR,— Will you allow me to add to your list of noteworthy epitaphs the following, which was lately repeated to me by one who had seen it in a churchyard in Connecticut :— " Under this sod,
And under these trees, Lieth the hod-
-y of Solomon Pease.
He is not here, But only his pod.
He's shelled out his soul And gone up to his God."
