No conspiracy
From Mr Bob Shennan Sir: I was intrigued to read your Radio col- umn 'We'll miss you, Andrew' (Arts, 25 November). May I offer two observations which could serve to clarify the issues you raise?
Firstly, there were no outside influences whatsoever involved in my decision to make the changes you outline to the week- end breakfast programme. Secondly, although proud of our audiences for the weekend breakfast shows, I would point out that they attract about half the number of listeners that regularly tune in to our week- day programmes. I hope that situation can be improved.
