The Star affirms that Mr. Gale, the blind man who

discovered a process for making powder incombustible, has invented a revolv- ing rifle which will fire 100 bullets a minute. We do not under- stand the description, but a specimen has been laid before Govern- ment, and Mr. Gale seems fully to believe in his weapon himself.

The plan can be applied to cannon, and the rifle, if really success- ful, would undoubtedly surpass every other known.
