Brotherhood. By David McLaren Morrison. (Simpkin, Marshall, and Co.)—We cannot
call this "study from life" a happy effort. It contains very little of that "inward culture" which the writer urges, and too much slang, and, we must say, is sometimes some- what coarse. It is a great pity such a book was written, and a still greater pity that it was published.
