The Story of Some Famous Books. By Frederick Saunders. (Elliot

Stock.)—We have here some interesting gossip about great authors and their chief works. Mr. Saunders does not, we think, give us anything in the way of fresh information in his little book. All that is contained in his pages could, no doubt, be found in the biographies of the different writers of whom he treats. His book, however, will be both valuable and interesting to those who love books, and yet have not the leisure for the perusal of biographies. Mr. Saunders has an easy and pleasant style of writing.
