Sir Keith
From the Revd John Peace Sir: To hear the truth from a prominent politician is so unusual that the reaction of the left to Sir Keith's courageous speech was predictable. It is surely tragic, as well as ironic, that he was merely dealing with issues about which leading churchmen are often strangely silent?
I am minded of the riddle in The Yeomen of the Guard: wherein lay the difference between the Archbishop of Canterbury and Jack Point? The answer was: "whereas His Grace was paid 610,000 a year for being good, poor Jack Point was good — for nothing."
