The Times of Wednesday published a let ter froni several
distinguished Evangelical clergymen who WIllollneed that they are ready in spite of their past misgivings to accept the Revised Prayer Book. They believe that peace can be preserved by it in the Church of England and they are satisfied that the Bishops intend to enforce the regu- lations in regard to Reservation so that there will be in fact less instead of more disobedience to the law. This is a very sensible decision and is only one of many other signs that the revision is likely in the end to be accepted. The dwindling bands of dissentients, however, are becoming very angry, and there was a disorderly scenic at the meeting of the Religious Tract Society on Tuesday, when the Archbishop of Canterbury was insulted by a noisy group. •
