It will be good news to many of our rateicrs

that Messrs. Dent arc publishing a new edition of all the books of the Bible in handy form, at 2s. 0d. a volume. The volumes which have reached us are the Gospel ..4ccording to St. Matthew and the Acts of the Apostles. In both, the utmost has been done, short of perverting the text, to obviate the difficulty which some readers find in following the flow of the narrative owing to the peculiar form in which it is printed. In this edition the ordinary text appears in chapters and paragraphs as in any other book, and quotations inset in italics. The printing, by the Temple Press, is quiet and attractive. The books are bound in black leather and are of a convenient size. Scholarly and readable introductions arc furnished to both these volumes, to St. Matthew by Mr. Guy N. Pocock, and to the Acts by Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch. Each volume has in the back cover a simple but adequate map, and there is one illustration in each volume, in the case of St. Matthew, Hfirer's Adoration of the Three Kings.
