The Queen has twice taken a sea excursion in the Fairy. The Prince Consort, Prince Alfred, and Prince Arthur have visited Portland in the royal yacht. The Queen has driven out, and the Duchess of Kent, on a visit at Osborne, has also taken driving exercise.

The visitors at Osborne have been Mr. Sydney Herbert, Prince Ester- hazy, the Marquis of Ailesbury, the Grand Duke and Prince Adolphus of Mecklenberg Strelitz, Admiral Bowles, and Sir J. Scarlett.
