Christmas quiz

Sir: May I be permitted to point out a further error in your Christmas quiz (27 December)? In question VI 10 (i) Schubert is cited as the composer who did not write an oratorio. Schubert did in fact compose an oratorio entitled Lazarus and there is a recording of the work to prove it.

To be fair, the question should have read 'complete oratorio'. 'Lazarus' was never finished—Editor, SPECTATOR.
