REST FOR NURSES.

[To THE EDITOR OF THE " SPECTATOR."' SIR,—May I, through the medium of your most valuable paper, appeal for the Cavell Memorial Holiday Home at Westcliff-on-Sea ? The Home has existed for nine years for working gentle- women, but in December, 1915, it was renamed in honour of Edith Cavell, and specially helps our splendid body of nurses to take a well-earned rest by the sea. The Home is always full, but the fees paid by the visitors are so small that the Home is obliged to rely upon the generosity of the public for its maintenance. Subscrip- tions and donations are very urgently needed, and may be sent to the Secretary at the Home, or the bankers, Messrs. Barclay and Co., 1 Pall Mall East, London, S.W.—I am, Sir, &c., Al GERTRUDE DECIES.
