ELECTRIC HEAT

[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.]

Sin,—Crusader seems to have been unfortunate in his exper-' ienee with electric fires. He writes, " I have experimented with electric heating in London, but had to stop after the first. bill came in, the cost being absolutely prohibitive." I have an, electric fire in my study which gives a steady and moderate; heat. The cost works out at about two shillings a week, the power rate being 2d. a unit.—I am, Sir, &c., T. A. B. Liverpool.
