An unpretentious history of Aubrey House once Notting Hill House), one of the oldest residences in ieuington, and of the people who have lived in it. The reCOrd rather hum- drum, but one or two of the persons dealt with e inteteSting, in particular, Lady Mary Coke, who was one of the beauties of George 11.'s Court ;Peter. Alfred Taylor, M.P., the reformer. and friend of Mazzin.i ; and, more recently, W. C. Alexander, the well-known art collector and patron of Whistler, who redecorated the reception rooms of Aubrey House. The volume is profusely illustrated, and some interesting old maps of the Kensington district are reproduced. Lovers of Kensington should make the acquamtance of this little history.
