DOCTOR JOHNSON AT CAMBRIDGE. By S. C. Roberts. (Putnam's. 2s.

6d.)

This is an unpretentious little book, containing eight essays. They are a pleasant pastiche of Boswell, and describe the adventures of Dr. Johnson in modem Cambridge, during May Week, at the Union, at the University Library, at Fenner's and so forth. The imitations, which have a few amusing touches of satire, will particularly appeal to Cambridge men and -women, for whom they were originally written ; but they are quite good enough to amuse the outside public as well.
