As the newspapers, and their correspondents, cannot kill DOTI Miguel,
they make him out to be mad. This may be nearer the mark. He has not been able to attend to business for many days. The soldiers are said (a very common saying in Portuguese annals) to be becoming disaffected, arid the guerillas to increase. The. schools of mutual instruction in Lisbon have been shut up by the Bishop of Vizeu. The Vice-Consul of Hamburg has not been set at liberty, though he has been placed in a more comfortable prison.
