We are glad to see that our old friend, Scribner's

Magazine, is again being published in London as it was before the War. The June number contains, among many other excellent articles, a notable account by Mr. C. L. Freeston of " New Alpine High- roads " opened since the War by the Italian Government and a remarkable paper by Mr. G. E. -Hale, the well-known American astronomer, on " The Depths of the University."
