IRELAND AND HOME-RULE.

[To THY EDITOR OP THE " SPECTAT011.1 SIEC,--As an Englishman farming in the South of Ireland, I have beettmuch struck with the great slump in the wish for Home-rule among the farmers. Having become owners of their land, to obtain which they would have not only voted, but turned out en mane and fought, the question of Home- rule has become of very minor importance. The mass of voters in the South would still vote for Home-rule out of sentiment, but I doubt very much if many would give a pound note to obtain it.—I am, Sir, &c., R. N.
