XIII. (Cambridge University Press. £2 10s. net.)—The Royal Society is doing a great service to students by undertaking to catalogue the vast mass of scientific papers published or read in the nineteenth century. The work is now complete up to 1883, and the present volume (A—B) is the first of the last series, from 1884 to 1900. This volume alone contains 63,271 entries !
