The Essence of Astronomy. By Edward W. Price. (G. P.

Putnam's Sons. 3s. 6d. net.)—This book aims at explaining, in non-technical language, the" things everyone should know" about the sun, moon, planets, and stars. The author is far from being a Proctor or a Ball, and deals too much in figures to be very readable. But he seems to know his subject.
