Sin,—In your notice of the Report you ask who was the medium or Psychic in whose presence Dr. Edmunds' ponderous dining- table was swung about several times without contact by any per- son present. I violate no confidence in stating that the medium on that occasion, as well as in all the forty experiments made by Sub-committee No. 1, was Mrs. Edmunds, the wife of Dr. Edmunds, who states in the Report his disbelief in the phenomena. But it should be stated also that he did not attend any one of these meetings, and therefore did not witness any of the phenomena he denies.—I am, Sir, &c.,
