Joseph Connor was examined at Bow Street Police-office today, on
the c of murdering the woman T in St. Giles's. The evidence was excessiv
revolting, from the abandoned of the witnesses, mostly women. Revenge peeps out as the motive. Connor was committed for trial.
There was a bad lesion of fire-damp in West Moor coal-pit, at Kelleyworth, near Newcastle-upon- e, yesterday morning, by which forty people are said to have been killed.
