The War in Africa and the Far East. By H.
C. O'Neill. (Longmans. 3s. &I. net.)—Mr. O'Neill has summarized very clearly the course of the useful and important " aide-shows " in which all the German colonies in Africa and the Far East were captured. He emphasizes the brilliancy of General Botha's campaign in South-West Africa and the resolute spirit displayed by all ranks in the East African campaign, where the physical difficulties were almost insuperable. The maps given in the book are by far the best that we have seen ; the routes followed by the armies are clearly marked.
