Herr Wirth, a prominent member of the Centre Party, has
declared that in his belief the Nationalists will -never be true to the Republic and that if there is a vote of confidence in the Reichstag he will feel bound to oppose the Government. Germania, the principal organ of the Centre Party, mordantly remarks that mongrels have the vices of both sides of their descent, and that the new Cabinet is sure to conduct itself in the manner of mongrels. Nor is that surprising, Nationalists have got four seats in the Cabinet; although it had been generally assumed that they would have only three.
