[To THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."] SIEr–Your correspondent, "G.," forgets that when the lid in removed from the wide mouth of the All Baba jar used for baking in India, the cool air rushes in and reduces the tempera- ture, so that there is no difficulty in removing the cakes, either by the naked hand of the mahout, or, as in the present case, the trunk of the elephant.
