A SUCCESSFUL UNDERTAKING.

A good financial statement has been published by the Mid-European Corporation, the annual accounts made up to July 31st last showing a profit for the year of 1120,461, as compared with £95,350. In consequence, however, of the recent increase in capital, a larger number of shares ranked for dividend, and the maintenance of the 8 per cent. dividend _involved 176,000 _as compared with 152,500 in, the previous year. -All the expenses of the 5 per cent. Debenture issue made during the year, amounting to £20,735, have been written off. Mainly in consequence of the Debenture -issue, Investments which stood in the books a year ago at £1,818,000

are now entered at £2,890,000. ,
