Sin,—Many will feel indebted to your correspondent " Scot for pointing out this hardly credible cockney abomination in the " Concise Oxford (1) Dictionary," and thus saving them from the possibility of admitting that volume to their houses (as I was about to do). Perhaps it also gives " dy " and " lidy " as the right pronunciation of " day " and " I am, Sir, &c., ENGLISHMAN AND OXONIAN.
